I read this with my 9 yrs old daughter and there was chuckling and smiling along the way.
We have always liked the Diary of a wimpy kid series, and think this was one of the best.
We are going to rate it a 4 and I will recommend this book on my blog.

China Dream's
Currently working on my second book in the Book Brainy series China Dreams. I have a new character the red thread, that I have introduced and fits very well with the stories theme. In this adventure the dreamer is revealed as the Book Brainys appear to relive the events of how a forever family is created.
Also, I will be posting other books on my blog that are wonderful reads. My first recommendation is a great book by Kay Bratt! Chasing China.

How the character and stories began:
On the weekend nights, it's bedtime, "Dad's way," pj's, then comes the teeth brushing, in full comical fashion of course followed by a story! Now
there are a lot of great books for kids out there, and we do have quite a stockpile. The problem is that the kids can get a little board and would
often find myself adding to the books and changing the story until I got the desired effect of laughter. "Read it again Dad that was funny," they
would say, So the stories and characters would change and grow more humorous each time they were read. "It really doesn't say that does it Dad?"
Mya would ask. So I guess when you get busted like that the only thing to do is toss the book over your shoulder and say, "Okay story time." With no
story line or characters from a book in front of me, I was forced into some quick thinking, making up the characters and stories off the cuff with the
same objective in mind, laughter. Illustrations To the dismay of my elementary teachers, I was always one who liked to doodle and still do! As a very young man I would use a little leisure time to
doodle, a few drawings in the fashion of marvel and DC comics. Through the years, I have found it useful as a teaching tool with various employers
to show extreme details especially when it pertains to electrical mechanical applications. However, by far the most powerful use of illustration was
to find a common interest with my daughter Mya. This was a wonderful tool to achieve priceless bonding time together, and soon she may surpass
my skill.
Why Create the Book? A request from my two biggest fans, Mya and Macy, "Wouldn't it be cool if you made a book of your story's Dad?" they would ask. Perhaps it would
be nice to bring my characters and stories to life. After all, it sounds like a great excuse to start a project with my drawing partner and bring in little
Macy and mom to help in the desisions about which stories to use and the best direction for them. As we are adoptive parents, all proceeds from
The Book Brainy's series will be used for an even greater project that we like to call "Bringing Home Brother".
